Digital Usage Policy

Welcome to Noble & Wild Pet Portraits. This policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the digital usage of our website, the intellectual property (IP) rights associated with our custom artwork, and the responsibilities of our customers. By purchasing from us or using our digital assets, you agree to the terms listed below.

1. Intellectual Property Ownership

  • Artist Rights: Noble & Wild Pet Portraits and its associated artists retain all copyrights to the custom artwork created. This includes the right to use the artwork for marketing, promotional purposes, and display on our website or social media platforms.

  • Customer Ownership: Upon full payment, the customer is granted a Personal Use License. This allows you to print the artwork for personal use, share it on personal social media accounts, and display it in your home.

  • Commercial Use: Commercial use of the artwork (e.g., selling the image, using it for business branding, or mass reproduction) is strictly prohibited unless a separate Commercial License has been purchased and signed by both parties.

2. Digital Usage Guidelines

  • Social Media Sharing: We love seeing your noble pets! When sharing our work online, we ask that you credit Noble & Wild Pet Portraits where possible. You may not apply filters or alter the artwork in a way that misrepresents the original quality of the piece.

  • Digital Downloads: If you have purchased a high-resolution digital download, it is intended for the purchaser’s use only. Redistribution, sharing the file with third parties for their own use, or uploading the file to public stock image sites is a violation of this policy.

  • Website Content: All text, graphics, logos, and images on the Noble & Wild Pet Portraits website are the property of Noble & Wild Pet Portraits and are protected by copyright laws. You may not "scrape" or reproduce website content without written permission.

3.  User-Generated Content & Photo Submissions

  • Ownership of Source Photos: By submitting a photo of your pet for a portrait, you represent that you own the rights to that photo or have obtained the necessary permissions from the original photographer.

  • Indemnification: Noble & Wild Pet Portraits is not liable for any copyright infringement resulting from photos provided by customers. The customer agrees to indemnify Noble & Wild against any legal claims regarding the ownership of submitted reference materials.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users and customers are prohibited from:

  • Using the artwork to create derivative works for sale.

  • Removing watermarks or copyright notices from digital proofs.

  • Using any automated system (robots, spiders) to access the site for any purpose without our express written permission.

  • Ownership & Intellectual Property

    Noble & Wild Pet Portraits retains all legal copyrights to the artwork created. When a customer purchases a portrait, they are acquiring a Personal Use License. This distinguishes between the ownership of a physical or digital item and the rights to the underlying art:

    • Physical & Digital Ownership: Customers own the individual physical print or digital file purchased. They may display the art in their homes or use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.

    • Copyright Retainment: Noble & Wild Pet Portraits maintains the exclusive right to use, reproduce, and display all commissioned artwork for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes.

    • Usage Restrictions: Purchase does not transfer copyright. The customer may not resell, mass-produce, or use the artwork for commercial gain without express written consent.

    By commissioning a portrait, the customer acknowledges that the artistic intellectual property remains the permanent property of Noble & Wild Pet Portraits. .
